In March 2025, the Capri Foundation issued a heartfelt invitation to the global photography community, opening an international call for submissions centered on a powerful and universal theme: “HISTORY IS US.” This call is more than a competition — it is a creative exploration of identity, legacy, and the shared human experience as seen through the lens of the camera.

Each photograph tells a story. It captures the unspoken moments, the overlooked details, and the subtle truths of everyday life. Through this open call, photographers are invited to share those stories — to use imagery as a tool for remembrance, reflection, and revelation. Every photo is a fragment of a larger mosaic, a piece of history that belongs to all of us.

Photographers of all kinds — whether you're a professional with decades of experience or an enthusiastic amateur discovering your voice — are encouraged to participate. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, 29 June 2025. Applicants must submit a folder that includes the photographic series or work, a short text that explains its context or intent, and a brief biography of the author. Please ensure that all materials are submitted according to the specified guidelines, as incomplete or non-compliant entries will not be considered.

From the submissions, two exceptional projects will be selected by the jury. These works will be given the spotlight they deserve, with a curated exhibition set to open at the iconic Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri in September 2025. The Capri Foundation will fully support the production and presentation of the exhibition, offering a unique opportunity for the selected artists to share their vision with an international audience.
