Since 2012, five photographers whose works engage with the African diaspora or were created on the African continent have received the CAP Prize, the international Prize for Contemporary African Photography.
Between November 7, 2022, and February 7, 2023, the Eiger Foundation and the CAP Prize 2023 will hold a call for entries. Now is the time to prepare your work that engages the African continent or its diaspora and win a series of large-scale outdoor exhibitions all over the world. Your work will be evaluated by a panel of international curators, editors, publishers, and artists. There will be a shortlist of 25 artists, and five of those artists will receive the CAP Prize in 2023. In June 2023, the winners will be announced at the Photo Basel International Art Fair.
