One talented photographer and one visionary filmmaker will each be awarded a Canon EOS R8 camera, recognizing their exceptional creative achievement. The winning photograph and film will be featured prominently on Maine Media’s official website and social media platforms, offering the artists valuable visibility within our vibrant creative community. Winners of this year’s competition will be officially announced on November 24, 2025.

Entry Guidelines

To maintain fairness and consistency, all entrants must use a Canon product in the creation of their submitted work. Each participant may submit only one entry, either in the photography or film category.

The competition is open exclusively to students enrolled in on-campus workshops at Maine Media. Entrants who are under 18 years of age must secure written permission from a parent or guardian in order to participate.

Winners will be contacted directly via the email address provided during registration, and all judging outcomes are final and binding. We encourage participants to bring their unique perspective, creativity, and technical skill to this celebration of visual storytelling.
