For the twenty-fifth consecutive year, Canon and Visa pour l’Image are proud to continue their tradition of honoring exceptional female photojournalists through the prestigious Canon Female Photojournalist Grant. This distinguished award is a testament to the significant contributions made by women in the realm of visual storytelling and journalistic photography.

The 2025 recipient of this coveted award will receive a financial grant of €8,000 to develop her proposed photographic project. In conjunction with this year's announcement, Canon and Visa pour l’Image are pleased to showcase the work of Cynthia Boll, the 2024 winner. Boll’s project investigates the social ramifications of Indonesia's capital relocation from Jakarta to Nusantara on the island of Borneo, offering a poignant visual narrative of the communities impacted by this ambitious endeavor.
