For an impressive twenty-five consecutive years, Canon and Visa pour l’Image have proudly upheld their tradition of celebrating excellence in photojournalism by awarding the prestigious Canon Female Photojournalist Grant. This esteemed honor is presented to an exceptional female photographer who has demonstrated outstanding dedication, skill, and contribution to the field of visual storytelling through photojournalism.

The recipient of the 2025 grant will be awarded €8,000 in financial support to carry out her proposed photographic project. As part of this year's program, the organizations are also excited to showcase the compelling work of Cynthia Boll, the 2024 grant winner. Her impactful project highlights the significant social implications resulting from the relocation of Indonesia's capital from Jakarta to Nusantara, situated on the island of Borneo. Boll's project sheds light on how this substantial move is affecting communities and the broader social landscape in Indonesia.
