Call for Entries: Capturing Ecology – A Photography Competition Celebrating the Natural WorldPhotography has the extraordinary power to reveal the intricate beauty and complexity of our planet’s ecosystems. Through a lens, we are able to witness nature in ways that both inform and inspire, connecting us to the environments and species we share the Earth with. In this spirit, the British Ecological Society invites photographers from around the world to take part in Capturing Ecology, a prestigious photography competition dedicated to showcasing the wonder of ecology through creative and compelling imagery.
We are looking for photographs that portray the natural world in distinctive and surprising ways — images that go beyond the expected to offer fresh perspectives on wildlife, plants, habitats, behavior, interactions, and ecological processes. Whether it’s a close-up of an insect in motion, a sweeping landscape that tells a story, or an unusual ecological interaction caught in action, we want to see how you capture the essence of ecology through your unique lens.
Winners will be eligible for cash prizes of up to £750, as well as a 12-month complimentary membership to the British Ecological Society. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your work recognized and celebrated in front of a global audience passionate about ecology, science, and photography.
