Black Box Gallery is excited to present a juried group exhibition celebrating the creative possibilities of color photography. This show will highlight the many ways photographers use color as a central element in their visual storytelling and artistic exploration.
In contemporary photography, color plays an increasingly dynamic and versatile role. It can be bold and vibrant or subtle and restrained, realistic or highly stylized. Artists incorporate color across a wide range of subjects and genres—from sweeping landscapes and expressive portraits to architecture, fashion, street scenes, abstract compositions, documentary narratives, still life arrangements, conceptual works, and images of nature or night environments.
This exhibition invites photographers to reflect on how they use color as both a technical and expressive tool. How does color shape the way images are composed and experienced? How does it influence mood, convey meaning, or create visual tension? We welcome work that demonstrates how color can engage viewers, enhance storytelling, and redefine contemporary photographic practice.
