Black Box Gallery is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for photographers of all levels to showcase their best work in a juried group exhibition with an open theme. We invite you to submit your most compelling photographic shots—whether they capture the beauty of the natural world, the energy of urban landscapes, the intimacy of portraits, or the creativity of conceptual projects. This exhibition embraces all styles, genres, and perspectives, offering a platform for diverse expressions of photographic artistry.
We welcome submissions from various photographic disciplines, including but not limited to landscape, architecture, documentary, fashion, still life, street photography, color and black-and-white photography, nature, night photography, and experimental techniques. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an emerging artist, this is an excellent opportunity to present your work in a dynamic and visually rich showcase.

About the Juror: Todd Johnson
Todd Johnson, the founder and director of Black Box Gallery, will serve as the juror for this exhibition. With an extensive background in photography, curation, and arts administration, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the selection process. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has served as a portfolio reviewer for prestigious programs such as Photolucida (Portland, OR), Critical Mass, Dodho Magazine (Barcelona, Spain), and Blue Sky Gallery (Portland, OR).
Beyond his curatorial expertise, Todd has organized exhibitions at prominent venues such as Linfield College, Gallery Homeland, The Waiting Room Gallery, and The Gorilla Art Gallery in San Francisco. His dedication to arts education spans over two decades, fostering the development of photographers and visual artists.
His own photographic work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across the United States, including at the University of Oregon (White Box Gallery), Marylhurst University (The Art Gym), Pacific Northwest College of Art, Reed College, Bushwick Open Studios (Brooklyn, NY), and The Diego Rivera Gallery in San Francisco.
