Black Box Gallery is thrilled to announce an international call for entries for a juried group exhibition celebrating the full spectrum of color photography. In our daily lives, color shapes how we see and feel, and in photography, it has become a powerful means of communication and storytelling. Today’s photographers use color across a stunning range of genres: from sweeping landscapes to intimate portraits, from architectural studies to vibrant fashion shoots, from street and documentary projects to abstract or conceptual explorations. Still life, nature, and night photography further expand the terrain, showing how color can be subtle and restrained, or bold and electrifying.
This show invites artists to push the boundaries of what color can do in their work. Whether used to stylize, dramatize, or simply reflect reality, color is a force that commands attention and deepens engagement with an image. We encourage photographers to submit work that demonstrates how color shapes their creative vision—whether through careful composition, experimental approaches, or the spontaneous capture of life as it unfolds. The exhibition will highlight the many innovative ways contemporary photographers harness color to captivate, challenge, and inspire audiences.
