Black Box Gallery is pleased to present a new juried group exhibition dedicated to the art of color photography. In the contemporary moment, color has become one of the most dynamic and versatile elements in the photographer’s visual toolkit. It can be used to render landscapes with intensity, bring portraits to life, highlight architectural forms, or capture the fleeting vibrancy of fashion and street life. Beyond documentation, color is often central to abstract and conceptual projects, still lifes, or experimental narratives. Even in areas like nature and night photography, color can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, creating moods that range from luminous to unsettling.

This exhibition seeks to explore the many ways that photographers engage with color—how it influences composition, sets atmosphere, and draws the viewer deeper into the image. By bringing together diverse works, the show asks: in what ways does color shape the way contemporary photography is experienced, understood, and remembered?
