The Bergger Analog Photography Prize is dedicated to supporting emerging photographers who use black and white analog photography as their primary medium of artistic expression. Designed as a platform for innovation and recognition, the prize seeks to inspire new approaches to photographic storytelling through the timeless language of black and white imagery.
The competition awards 5,500€ in exhibition production to the Grand Prize Winner, while all shortlisted artists receive a 100€ voucher to be used on the Bergger website.
Grand Prize:
A one-year exhibition at the prestigious Pavillon des Lettres, a literary hotel in central Paris, as part of a dedicated residency.
Vernissage scheduled for Thursday, October 30th, 6pm.
A full series of 25 works printed in the darkroom by Fred Goyeau, renowned master printer for Sebastião Salgado and Sophie Calle, on Bergger baryta paper of the winner’s choice.
A three-day darkroom printing workshop at Fred’s Lab, valued at 1,500€, reinforcing the importance of analog craftsmanship in exhibition preparation. The winner must be available to attend between October 15th–28th.
Travel support of up to 400€ and one-night accommodation at the Pavillon des Lettres.
