Artists who create work in a representational style using any photographic medium, whether analogue (film-based) or digital (created using digital cameras and related technology), are eligible to submit their artwork for consideration in the Photography Award category. This award recognizes work that remains primarily photographic in nature, celebrating artists who use the camera as their primary tool for creative expression.

As digital tools become more advanced, the distinction between photography and digital art has grown increasingly complex. We understand that many artists incorporate digital techniques into their practice, and we aim to clarify the eligibility criteria. If your work involves substantial digital modifications beyond standard photographic post-processing, it should be submitted under the Digital Art Award category. Such modifications may include but are not limited to replacing or adding entirely new backgrounds, integrating additional elements that were not present in the original captured image, applying extensive digital painting over the photograph, or making other major transformations that significantly alter the original photographic content.

Conversely, if your use of digital tools is confined to typical photographic enhancements—such as adjusting brightness and contrast, refining color balance, cropping, removing small blemishes, or applying minimal touch-ups—then your work remains within the realm of photography and is eligible for the Photography Award. This distinction ensures that each submission is judged appropriately within its respective artistic category.
