Every memorable exhibition begins with a single remarkable image. We are looking for photographs that invite viewers to pause, explore, and engage—works that communicate through composition, atmosphere, storytelling, or originality. Regardless of subject matter or photographic approach, we welcome images that demonstrate a clear artistic vision and the ability to create a meaningful visual experience.
The 2026 Autumn Edition has been designed as our most accessible global open call, offering photographers from every background the opportunity to exhibit their work within Berlin's vibrant contemporary art scene. By reducing barriers to participation, the programme aims to connect outstanding photographic talent with new audiences and professional opportunities in an internationally recognised gallery environment.
Twenty selected photographs will form the exhibition's official Shortlist and will be professionally produced for display throughout the BBA Gallery. Printing, exhibition preparation, and installation costs will be fully covered by us, ensuring that each selected work is presented to the highest professional standard without additional expense for participating photographers.
Alongside the physical exhibition, a Longlist of 50 images will be featured on a large digital display within the gallery, allowing visitors to discover an even broader selection of exceptional photography submitted from around the world. This expanded presentation reflects the diversity and creativity of the international photographic community.
The exhibition offers valuable exposure to a broad audience that includes collectors, curators, artists, industry professionals, and visitors interested in contemporary photography. It provides photographers with the opportunity to share their work in a professional gallery setting while becoming part of an international exhibition dedicated to celebrating outstanding photographic practice.
