Some photographs are admired for a moment, while others remain in the viewer's memory long after they have been seen. We are looking for images that possess this lasting quality—photographs that capture attention through creativity, technical excellence, emotional resonance, or a distinctive way of seeing the world. Whatever your subject or photographic style, we invite you to submit the image that best represents your artistic vision.
The 2026 Autumn Edition is our most accessible international open call to date, created to provide photographers with a direct opportunity to exhibit within Berlin's thriving contemporary art landscape. Open to participants from around the globe, the programme welcomes diverse perspectives and encourages submissions that reflect the richness and variety of contemporary photography.
A selection of 20 outstanding images will be chosen for the exhibition Shortlist and professionally printed for presentation on the walls of the BBA Gallery. Every aspect of exhibition production, including printing and display, will be organised and fully funded by us, allowing selected photographers to participate without additional production costs.
To further highlight the breadth of submitted work, an additional Longlist of 50 images will be presented on a large digital screen within the gallery space, giving visitors the opportunity to experience an extended collection of noteworthy photographs throughout the exhibition.
By participating, photographers have the chance to present their work to an international audience that includes collectors, curators, gallery visitors, and professionals from across the creative industries. The exhibition is designed to increase visibility, encourage new professional connections, and celebrate exceptional photography within one of Europe's most dynamic cultural centres.
