They are seeking a single, powerful image—the kind of definitive frame that captures attention instantly and lingers in the viewer’s mind. Conceived as their most accessible global open call to date, the 2026 Spring Edition offers photographers from around the world a clear and direct entry point into the vibrant Berlin art scene.
As part of their most prestigious annual event, the 2026 Prizes festival, selected works will receive significant visibility. A curated shortlist of 20 images will be professionally printed and exhibited within the exhibition space of the BBA Gallery, with all production and installation costs fully covered. This ensures that selected artists can present their work at a high professional standard without financial burden.
In addition, a longlist of 30 images will be featured on a large-scale digital display within the gallery, expanding the range of artists included in the exhibition experience. Together, these presentations create a dynamic and multi-layered showcase of contemporary photography.
