One image.The award is centred around a single photograph rather than an extensive portfolio or complete series. A large body of work is not required to participate, allowing one strong image to serve as the central artistic statement.

Open internationally.The BBA One Shot Award welcomes photographers and artists of all backgrounds, nationalities, and levels of experience. The only age requirement is that applicants must be over 18.

Any photographic style.There are no restrictions regarding photographic genre or medium. Documentary, portrait, landscape, fashion, street, conceptual, abstract, experimental, analogue, digital, and fine-art photography are all eligible for consideration.

The award is designed to provide a straightforward platform for individual photographs and to connect selected artists with a professional exhibition environment in Berlin.
