This competition seeks to identify and celebrate the most exceptional mountain-themed photo essays, recognizing outstanding stories told through a curated series of still images. We invite photographers to participate by submitting entries that highlight their unique perspectives on mountains and the diverse stories they inspire. These stories can explore themes like the rich cultural traditions surrounding mountain communities, daring adventures, rare and beautiful wildlife, high-stakes sports, urgent environmental concerns, or the historical and natural significance of mountainous regions.
Judges will assess the submissions based on their ability to deliver a compelling narrative through a sequence of powerful images. The expectation is that each photo in the series can stand on its own as a visually compelling piece, yet together, they must create a cohesive story or convey a profound message. Photographers have the opportunity to express their creative vision through the chosen sequence, ensuring the narrative flows and leaves a lasting impression on viewers.
