The competition warmly welcomes creative minds at every stage of their photographic journey. Whether you are just starting out as an enthusiastic amateur, honing your craft as a student, or earning your livelihood as a seasoned professional, you are encouraged to submit your work for consideration. Participation is open to image‑makers both within and beyond Australia’s borders, and the judging panel may designate separate award categories to celebrate outstanding work from Australian entrants as well as from their International counterparts.

To establish eligibility, each entrant will be asked to provide a current residential address when completing the online submission form. Applicants who ordinarily reside anywhere in Australia will be classified as “Australian” entrants, while those whose primary residence lies outside Australia will be identified as “International” entrants for the purposes of category placement and prize allocation.
