Analog Photography Prize 2025 by Bergger





The Bergger Analog Photography Prize celebrates the raw beauty and expressive power of black and white analog photography. More than an award, it is a platform designed to give emerging voices the opportunity to shape the future of photographic storytelling through the unique depth and sensitivity of film.

This year’s Grand Prize Winner will embark on an extraordinary journey:

  • A year-long exhibition residency at the Pavillon des Lettres, a literary hotel in Paris where images and words converge.

  • An official opening on Thursday, October 30th, at 6pm, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the winner’s career.

  • A series of 25 darkroom prints, crafted in collaboration with Fred Goyeau, the master printer behind Sebastião Salgado and Sophie Calle, on the finest Bergger baryta paper.

  • A three-day workshop in Fred’s Lab, valued at 1,500€, offering the rare chance to refine analog printing skills under expert guidance.

The prize also includes travel support (up to 400€), accommodation in Paris, and invaluable promotion across Bergger’s channels and partner networks. Shortlisted artists will also receive recognition, along with a 100€ voucher for Bergger products.

At its heart, this prize is about more than recognition—it is about community, craft, and the conviction that black and white analog photography remains one of the most powerful tools for artistic expression.
