Allora Gallery invites photographers worldwide to submit work for our international photography competition, “Stone & Stories.” This call is open to architectural and street photography, and to any visual exploration of the spaces we build and the lives that move through them.

Cities may rise from stone, steel, and glass, but they breathe through human presence. Stories linger in weathered walls, echo in narrow streets, and unfold in passing glances and daily rituals. Every structure holds memory within its form, every street corner becomes a witness, and every architectural detail speaks quietly of time, labor, and life. Stone & Stories honors the intimate connection between the built world and human experience—where architecture frames existence and streets become the pages on which life is written.

How do you translate the soul of a city into an image? What narratives hide in the spaces between buildings, in light and shadow, movement and stillness? Can your work reveal both the endurance of architecture and the fleeting moments it contains?

We welcome architectural photography, street photography, and all work that explores the built environment. From historic facades to modern skylines, from ornate details to spontaneous urban scenes, from grand structures to small, everyday moments—this competition celebrates the many ways cities tell their stories.
