Allora Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit to our international photography competition, “Stone & Stories.” This open call welcomes architectural and street photography, as well as creative interpretations of the built environment and the life that unfolds within it.

Cities are shaped by stone, steel, and glass, but they are defined by the people who inhabit them. Buildings stand as records of time, culture, and intention, while streets capture moments of movement, interaction, and change. Every facade carries history, every urban space tells a story, and every architectural element reflects both permanence and transformation. This competition explores where structure and story meet—where architecture becomes a setting, and everyday life becomes the narrative.

How do your images reveal the personality of a place? What moments appear in the in-between spaces of the city? Can you capture the contrast between enduring structures and the fleeting experiences they frame?

We invite submissions across architectural and street photography, as well as any work that engages with urban environments. From historic landmarks to contemporary buildings, from close-up details to wide cityscapes, from monumental architecture to subtle human moments—Stone & Stories celebrates the diverse ways photographers interpret the cities we live in.
