Since the very beginning of photography, women have played a central role within the medium—both as subjects in front of the camera and as creators behind it. While women have long been photographed, they have also continuously used photography as a powerful tool for documentation, storytelling, and self-expression. Through the lens, they have recorded personal histories, challenged social narratives, and asserted their presence in visual culture.

The 55th edition of AAP Magazine builds upon this legacy by inviting photographers to celebrate the many roles women occupy and the countless contributions they make. This edition seeks work that reflects the complexity of women’s lives, capturing moments of strength, labor, tenderness, creativity, and resilience. It is an open call to honor women in all their diversity and depth.

Photographers are invited to submit a cohesive body of work or a complete portfolio that expresses the essence of womanhood. The subject matter is intentionally unrestricted and may include fashion, nude, documentary, portraiture, sports, fine art, or commercial photography. All photographic processes are welcome, whether digital or analog, as well as experimental approaches and monochromatic treatments.

Selected winners will receive a total of $1,000 in cash awards, with their winning image or full portfolio published in AAP Magazine. In addition, winners will benefit from extensive press coverage and international exposure, offering global recognition for their work.
