From the early days of photography in the 19th century to the present digital age, women have played a pivotal role in shaping the medium. While they have often been the subjects of photographs—immortalized in portraiture, fashion, and fine art—they have also made groundbreaking contributions behind the camera. Women photographers have documented social change, challenged stereotypes, and used photography as a form of personal and political expression.
In this 46th edition of AAP Magazine, we invite photographers to submit a body of work or a portfolio that highlights the essence of women’s lives, work, struggles, and triumphs. Whether capturing quiet moments of introspection, dynamic action shots, or the complexities of identity and culture, we encourage submissions that reflect the diverse experiences of women.
The subject matter is open-ended—your work can range from documentary and street photography to commercial, fine art, fashion, or conceptual imagery. We welcome both traditional and experimental approaches, including digital and analog photography, alternative processes, and monochromatic techniques.
Selected photographers will be awarded $1,000 in cash prizes, and their winning images or full portfolios will be featured in AAP Magazine Issue #46. The winners will also benefit from extensive media exposure and international recognition, providing them with a platform to share their work with a global audience.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing visual dialogue about women in photography—both as subjects and as storytellers. Show us how you see and celebrate women through your lens!
