Since the very beginning of photography as an artistic and documentary medium, women have been both its subjects and its storytellers. They have stood in front of the lens as muses, icons, and visionaries while also stepping behind the camera to shape narratives, document history, and express personal and collective experiences. Photography has served as a powerful tool of self-exploration, resistance, and truth-telling for women across cultures and generations.

For its 46th edition, AAP Magazine invites photographers from all backgrounds to honor and celebrate the countless contributions of women—both in photography and beyond. We are looking for cohesive bodies of work or compelling portfolios that capture the spirit, strength, and beauty of women in all their dimensions. Whether highlighting resilience, tenderness, determination, or creativity, we encourage you to submit images that tell authentic and powerful stories.

The theme is broad, allowing for interpretations that span across genres. Your work can explore fashion, portraiture, documentary, nude, fine art, commercial photography, or sports—there are no restrictions on subject matter. Likewise, we welcome any photographic process, whether digital or analog, black and white or color, and any experimental approach that pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling.

Winning photographers will receive $1,000 in cash awards, have their work published in AAP Magazine Issue #46, and gain significant international exposure through extensive press coverage and global recognition. This is an opportunity to showcase your artistic vision and contribute to an ongoing dialogue about the representation and celebration of women in photography.
