Portraiture is more than just a photograph — it’s an invitation to witness the soul of another person. In AAP Magazine’s 48th issue, titled “Portrait,” we invite photographers to dive deep into the heart of humanity. From the quiet intensity of a formal studio portrait to the candid spontaneity of a street shot or the raw vulnerability of a self-portrait, each image has the potential to create a profound emotional bridge between subject and viewer.

We are looking for submissions that reflect the true power of the portrait: moments that tell stories, that make us feel, and that remind us of our shared humanity. Your work should reflect a thoughtful approach to the art of portraiture — an awareness of both aesthetic beauty and meaningful expression. We welcome pieces that celebrate cultural diversity, individuality, honesty, and the limitless nature of creativity.

Photographers of all levels are encouraged to submit. We accept portraits of all types and formats — color, black and white, film, digital, traditional, or experimental. Whether your work is rooted in classic photographic principles or ventures into new visual territory, it’s your perspective that matters most.

Submissions will be judged based on three core criteria: originality, creative vision, and the emotional or visual resonance of the image. Winners will receive international exposure through All About Photo and its online platforms.
