AAP Magazine #57 “Portrait” invites photographers to delve deeply into the essence of humanity that exists within every individual. From timeless studio portraits to the modern phenomenon of the selfie, portraiture has always been a powerful way to reveal emotion, identity, and connection. The most compelling portraits go beyond appearance—they offer a window into someone’s inner world, creating a bond that transcends borders, cultures, and generations.

We are looking for submissions that embrace both the aesthetic beauty and the conceptual depth involved in portrait creation. This is an opportunity to celebrate diversity in all its forms, as well as creativity, honesty, and authentic self-expression. Whether through carefully composed studio work, spontaneous street photography, intimate self-portraits, or experimental fine art, all interpretations of portraiture are encouraged.

With billions of individuals across the globe, the possibilities are endless—yet we want to see the people who matter most to you, the stories you feel compelled to tell. All photographic styles are welcome, including color and black-and-white imagery, as well as traditional and alternative processes, including digital post-production techniques.
