Without the vibrancy of color, we are drawn to the essence of the image: the emotion in a subject’s eyes, the starkness of shadows, the rhythm of lines, the delicate balance of light and darkness. This timeless medium invites us to look deeper, to feel more, and to connect with the moment captured in a purer form.

This contest invites photographers from all backgrounds to explore and celebrate the expressive depth of black and white photography. We are looking for a wide range of creative interpretations across various genres, including street and documentary photography, fine art, nature and wildlife, portraiture, nude studies, fashion, urban and architectural work, and more.

To be considered, please submit a thoughtfully curated portfolio or series that showcases a unified vision. We are seeking compelling bodies of work that speak with one voice, whether through theme, style, or subject matter. Only these cohesive collections will be selected for inclusion in AAP Magazine. Kindly refrain from submitting any images that have already been published in a previous issue of the magazine.
