As a fine art photographer, Polly has participated in national portfolio reviews, authored an artist book, and exhibited her work in numerous solo and group shows across the U.S. Her contributions to the arts community extend to her roles as an exhibition juror and a writer focused on the nuances of photography, the creative process, and the vulnerabilities of showcasing art in competitive environments.
In 2023, Polly took on the role of Program Director at Photolucida, where she manages the renowned Critical Mass international photography competition. Her duties include shaping marketing strategies, securing partnerships and sponsorships, curating social media content, and liaising with artists, judges, and board members. She has also successfully managed the competition's marketing budget and organized fundraising events.
From 2020 to 2024, Polly was the Communications Manager for American Photographic Artists, where she spearheaded marketing efforts, coordinated event promotions, and curated content for digital platforms. Prior to that, she was Communications Manager at Artisphere, a nonprofit arts festival in Greenville, SC, where she oversaw event management and publicity.
Polly is known for her exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively. Her resourcefulness and commitment to continuous learning stand out as key qualities. She lives in Greenville, SC, with her cherished dog, Sadie Jane.
