Arte Laguna Prize, conceived by the Cultural Association MoCA, stands as an international art competition exclusively devoted to the visual arts. Its scope encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, video art, performance, virtual art, and digital art. The competition's inception aimed to offer a platform for artists, both emerging and established, to rise to prominence, capturing the attention of both the general public and a panel of significant figures within the contemporary art domain. Simultaneously, it fosters an egalitarian exchange among artists on a global scale.
The primary objective is to construct a progressively authoritative and impactful framework within the realm of contemporary art, continually engaging fresh contributors year after year. Since 2006, an exemplary cycle has evolved, engaging a diverse spectrum of entities as key participants: Foundations, Museums, Galleries, Residences, art-centric spaces, along with esteemed Made in Italy enterprises and renowned international brands. Collaboratively, these partnerships have birthed special projects, which have seamlessly evolved into tangible avenues for growth and advancement within artists' professional trajectories. Over the years, thousands of artists worldwide have taken part, their creations showcased not only in Venice but also across various other locales, with many of these works finding new homes. The deliberation of submissions has been entrusted to numerous international experts from different corners of the globe.
