The work of the highest award will be exhibited at Galerie MONSTRE during the world's largest outdoor photo event "Les Rencontres d'Arles" (Arles International Photo Festival, France), which boasts about 20,000 visitors , and the world . Awarded an artist-in-residence on Yakushima, a natural heritage island, and a world-class SIGMA lens.
The Yakushima International Photo Festival (YPF) is a mobile gallery that exhibits cultural exchange activities and works at home and abroad by holding a photo festival based in Yakushima with the keyword "from the world to Yakushima, from Yakushima to the world". YPF is holding "YPF PHOTO AWARDS" for Japanese photographers, and is looking for works by motivated photographers. The highest award-winning work will be exhibited at the YPF gallery "Galerie MONSTRE" during the "Les Rencontres d'Arles", the world's largest outdoor photo event held every summer in Arles, France. Through encounters with many photographers and collectors who visit Japan, we will discover new talents and support activities.
After that, for those who wish, YPF online portfolio review (scheduled to be held in August 2022) for the purpose of brushing up the work, and face-to-face meetings by internationally active photographers during the 4th Yakushima International Photo Festival We are preparing a type portfolio review (scheduled for November 2022). As with the contest, during the Arles International Photo Festival, we will give opportunities for exhibitions at Galerie MONSTRE and at photo festivals and photo events in Japan and overseas to expand our encounters with photography.
