XIII Cerdá y Rico Photography Contest

The " Cerdá y Rico de Fotografía " awards several cash prizes, one of  3,000 euros and a trophy , another of  2,000 euros and a trophy , and a third of  1,000 euros and a trophy , however the jury may leave any of them empty, or make other special mentions apart from the awarded works. The theme and technique are free for the three prizes, although in the case of the third, only works whose theme revolves around the landscape, heritage, cultural or ethnographic values ​​of the SIERRA MÁGINA region will be awarded.

It receives the name of  Arturo Cerdá y Rico , a pioneering photographer who stood out among Spanish aficionados at the dawn of the last 20th century, for which reason it is intended to keep alive that restless spirit, that of an amateur photographer who ended up dedicating himself body and soul to photography and who made friends with so many other lovers of Daguerre's art, also participating in numerous awards and publications.

The periodicity of the contest is  biennial .

As established in the bases, only  digital photographs will be admitted  and only the finalist series must be sent in the format established in the bases.

In previous editions, the  Cerdá y Rico de Fotografía  received considerable participation, reaching a more than worthy level, because if we take a look at the honor roll we will see that some of the most  brilliant authors on the Spanish photographic scene are lavished .
