The Ludington Area Center for the Arts - "Loneliness, Isolation, and Connection" Exhibition

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) is currently accepting submissions for its March 2025 nationally juried art exhibit ‘Loneliness, Isolation and Connection.'

This exhibition co-hosted by West Shore Community College’s HumanKind Series, focused this year on the theme, "Overcoming Loneliness: Togetherness, Connection, Community." Loneliness is now considered a major public health issue, as it reportedly has the same negative effects on one's health as smoking at least 15 cigarettes a day. As a result, the World Health Organization has convened a special committee on loneliness. The US Surgeon General has diagnosed the US as suffering from an epidemic of loneliness. This year's series explores ways to overcome loneliness.
