About:
This prize recognizes approaches in the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences that make an exceptional contribution to photography research. It is awarded every two years and can be awarded not only for qualification work (master's, diploma theses or dissertations) but also for other independent publications that are linked to an expansion of research perspectives on the medium of photography. There are no thematic restrictions or guidelines for methods and approaches, but there is particular interest in work that deals with shifting disciplinary or methodological boundaries.
