The nude figure has held a central place in art for centuries—explored as a symbol of beauty, vulnerability, sensuality, and human complexity. From classical traditions to contemporary interpretations, artists have turned to the nude to express everything from idealized form to emotional depth.

In photography, the nude remains a versatile and powerful subject. It can be intimate or confrontational, formal or raw, poetic or political. It can invite reflection on identity, the gaze, representation, and the shifting boundaries between public and private. And at times, it may simply celebrate the body as light, shape, and presence.

Praxis Gallery seeks photographic works that explore the nude in any of its many styles and expressions—including figure studies, environmental nudes, implied nudes – whether aesthetic, conceptual, emotional, or experimental.
