JournaFONDS has been supporting projects of journalistic research and reports on topics of public interest for a year. Funding is possible for all types of media: TV, radio, print, online. In the first year of its existence, JournaFONDS funded 28 research and reports with a total of CHF 165,000. So far, only three of these projects have had to be canceled because the research and reports ultimately could not be implemented.

Among the top-class projects that media professionals from all over Switzerland submitted by the end of June 2022 was a photo project financed by JournaFONDS for the first time. The supported research on political, economic and cultural topics is planned for online and print media from all over Switzerland. The jury supported the research and reports with CHF 3,000 to 10,000 each.
