FREE ENTRY / VI Photography Competition - Your Look at Mental Health

The goal of this contest is to encourage reflection and contribute to creating an aware, empathetic, participatory, and inclusive citizenship toward mental health through photography. We seek new ways of observing mental health and of looking at the community of people with mental health issues and their families.

Visually representing mental health issues can be complex. Mental disorders don't change a person's physical appearance, and are therefore "invisible" to the naked eye. 

Images are just as important as text when it comes to providing information that's free of stigma. They can contribute to perpetuating stereotypes, but they can also help society develop a more positive perception of this group.   We believe that one way to avoid stigmatization is to talk about mental health in a positive way . That's why we're launching this contest.
