FREE ENTRY / UNESCO Center of Extremadura - The 9th Edition of the Santiago Castelo International Photography Award

The Extremadura Association for UNESCO announces the ninth edition of the International Photography Prize named after Santiago Castelo , in honor of the founding president of the Extremadura Association for UNESCO.  

This award, which reinforces its cross-border nature between Spain and Portugal, seeks to recognize photographic works that, within the creative freedom of their author, offer new visions of the cultural, monumental, natural, environmental, landscape, and human wealth of the territories that comprise the EUROACE euroregion , or in other words, the regions of Extremadura in Spain and Alentejo and Centro in Portugal. A vast and vast international territory that occupies one-sixth of the Iberian Peninsula and offers landscapes as varied and disparate as the Atlantic coast to the grassy areas of Alentejo and Extremadura, with renowned heritage sites such as Évora, Coimbra, Elvas, Mérida, Cáceres, and Guadalupe.
