FREE ENTRY / The Kranj Foto Fest - Open Call for Exhibitions 2024

The international festival of contemporary photography, Kranj Foto Fest, announces its Open Call for projects to be exhibited during the festival in 2024 in Slovenia.

This year, the call for entries has no thematic limitations. We are looking for works that challenge the commonplace and showcase a genuine commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary photography.

The submission to the Open Call for Exhibitions is free of charge. Applications must be sent to the email info@kranjfotofest.org by 14th February 2024. Only series (not single images) will be accepted. We welcome submissions from photographers of all levels and backgrounds.

The jury will select one winner who will have a solo exhibition at the festival and will receive a 1000 EUR cash prize; and will shortlist a number of finalists for group exhibitions all around the picturesque alpine town of Kranj.

By being selected for an exhibition at the festival, the artists will have the opportunity to work closely with the curatorial team in planning their exhibition. Additionally, they will be able to showcase their work to a qualified audience, including curators, photo editors, gallery owners, and publishers from Slovenia and abroad. This may also include the chance to participate in round tables, lectures, and guided tours, allowing them to present their work to the audience attending the festival.
