FREE ENTRY / T3 New Talent - Tokyo International Photography Festival

T3, a platform for developing Asian photography culture, will close the 2024 Tokyo International Photography Festival "T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO" and the newly launched "T3 PHOTO ASIA" as an art photography market in Asia, and will launch the "T3 NEW TALENT" program, which will foster new talent and introduce them to the world by crossing over the two projects.

T3 has previously held "Student Projects" for students studying photography at art universities and vocational schools in Japan, providing opportunities for young talent. Starting this year, it has been decided to hold a new project, "T3 NEW TALENT," taking advantage of the two venues of the festival and art fair, expanding the target audience to include not only artists but also curators and art critics. As part of this

project, we have begun accepting applications for awards to select and support excellent emerging and mid-career artists who can be active on the world stage. The six-member jury consisting of David Campany (Creative Director, International Center of Photography), Diane Dufour (Co-Director, LE BAL), Ryudai Takano (Photographer), Leslie Martin (Executive Director, Printed Matter), Thiago Nogueira (General Director, Contemporary Photography Division, Moreira Salles Foundation), and Yuri Yamada (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum) will select a total of five artists to be exhibited at the T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO in 2025 and overseas in 2026. We are now accepting applications for candidates.
