PICTO LAB is a residency program that offers one artist per year the opportunity to engage in experimentation and creation over a three-month period (May, June, and July) in Paris, within the network of laboratories and production workshops at PICTO. For the PICTO LAB program, Picto Foundation collaborates with various partners who support and promote the work created by the artist in residence. These partners include the a ppr oc he fair, rentingART, Fujifilm, and Nielsen. PICTO LAB aims to facilitate the development of a new project by providing photographers with the chance to test techniques and protocols, explore them in unexpected configurations, and push the boundaries of what is possible in image-making and its formal presentation. In collaboration with PICTO’s skilled artisans, the program invites photographers and artists in residence to explore the potential of various techniques through hands-on experimentation. PICTO LAB also serves as a space for photographers to connect and network with professionals who may contribute to the evolution of their work or engage with the project at the heart of the residency.
