FREE ENTRY / Mulhouse Art Contemporain -Mulhouse Photography Biennial

The BPM is a cross-border festival dedicated to promoting contemporary photography through

a dynamic and unifying event. With a new theme for each edition, the program highlights

internationally recognized artists while also discovering emerging talent from the Grand Est

region and beyond. Since its inception in 2013, BPM has held five editions: Play & Repla

(2013), L’Autre et le Même (2016), Attraction(s)(2018), This is the End (2020), Corps Célestes

(2022), and Mondes Impossibles (2024). BPM aims to showcase a contemporary photographic

practice that is constantly evolving and being reexamined. A key focus of the program is the

relationship between photographic production and its contemporaneity—how it responds to

the evolution of the medium, as well as to ecological, social, and economic contexts.
