FREE ENTRY / Luis Valtueña International Humanitarian Photography Award 2023

Médicos del Mundo Spain announces the 27th Luis Valtueña International Award, aimed at recognizing and disseminating the best works of humanitarian photography, those that in a singular way show social problems, injustices and/or abuses of people's rights, as well as situations that they promote or combat them.

By giving this award the name of the photographer and international aid worker Luis Valtueña, a tribute is paid to his life and that of three other aid workers from the association murdered in Rwanda (1997) and in Bosnia (1995) while carrying out humanitarian action. Their commitment and solidarity are the values ​​that constitute the essence of this contest.
