Young Portfolio (YP) is an initiative by the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts to support the world's young photographers by purchasing and exhibiting outstanding works for the museum's collection.

Each year, we accept submissions from those under 35 years of age. We seek works that are filled with passion for photography and a strong desire to express themselves.

This is not a one-time prize contest. Submissions are open to applicants up to the age of 35. We hope to inspire young artists through our ongoing purchases.

This is the only project in the world that challenges the world to appreciate the talent of young people and pass it on to future generations.

Since its opening in 1995, Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts and YP have been supported by a social contribution grant from Shinnyo-en. For the 31st Young Portfolio, we are waiving the application fee to open the door to more young photographers.
