Float Photo Magazine - "Impactful Photography" Call for Entry

A new call for entry for a printed zine. Selected images will also be included in an online exhibition on Float’s website.

Good Impactful Photography People constantly ask us what makes a "good" photo. While we've also asked this question since first falling for photography, it's time for a rethink.

"Good" is not only subjective, it's a little boring and kind of meaningless. Is it good because it's got pretty colors? Is it loud? Is it trendy? Did it take technical skill to produce? Does it offer some pretense of (impossible) truth? Was it shot with a fancy camera? How can we be more specific or ask more thoughtful questions about why a photograph works...or doesn't?
