Festimatge - 50th "Torretes" Photography Trophy

The Torretes Trophy was created in 1975 and initially began as a local photography competition. Over the years, it expanded to a national level and finally, in 2006, in addition to becoming part of the Festimatge – Calella Image Festival, it became an international competition.

The defining characteristic of the "Torretes" competition for most of its existence was that participants had to submit collections of three photographs, rather than individual works, making it a pioneer among photography contests. With the adaptation of the competition to FIAP standards, the collection format was abandoned in favor of categories (color monochrome, open monochrome, marine theme, etc.) and the use of digital format, significantly enriching participation from photographers worldwide.
