Discarded Magazine - Poetic Bonds

In 2021, we have launched a new section – XXX – dedicated to a new vision of contemporary erotic photography. After a successful crowdfunding campaign and great reception from both the artists and XXX buyers, we have decided to work on the second issue!

This time, the open call is theme-based to trigger your imagination to wild places. We chose the theme to be Poetic Bonds, be it intimate collaborations, soul connections, or simply streams of consciousness, we accept it all.

Please beware that we are looking for works that span beyond the female nude since that was the majority of submissions last time. Even though we are not excluding this genre, we also hope to receive abstract erotic works, for instance, erotic landscapes or still lifes, all based on your interpretation of the theme. At the same time, we would like to highlight that we are strongly encouraging BIPOC and LGBTQI+ artists to submit and share their unique vision when it comes to erotica.

Curated again by our team member, Linda Zhengová, we hope to bring you a one-of-a-kind insight into the intimate worlds of a myriad of artists. We can’t wait to go through your photographs and shake the existing taboos together!
