In August 2024, we surveyed over 1,000 respondents from our audience. The findings reveal that, on average, the women working in the photography industry who took part in the survey earn 30% less than their male counterparts. 55% of the women had experienced gender discrimination in the workplace. Additionally, only 34% of major photography award winners have been women over the past five years.
