Ballon Rouge - “When Flowers Sleep” Open Call

The days grow shorter and the light changes; shadows fall differently, colours fade, rhythms shift. The world around us slows down and our gaze turns inward. At Ballon Rouge we reflect on a year of movement and now focus on stillness, attention and small gestures. We want to create space to pause, to reflect, to connect — with yourself and with others.

For our last exhibition of the year we invite photographers to submit work addressing the theme of stillness and turning inward — in a broad sense. We are particularly interested in images that evoke introspection, or otherwise capture the poetry of light, time and connection. The theme is open and invites personal interpretation; we welcome being surprised by your view. Ballon Rouge
