Open Call for 2023 Solo and Group Exhibitions: "HUMAN — NATURE" The Kranj Foto Fest is pleased to announce its 2023 Open Call for Exhibitions. We're looking for stories that show the connection between humans and the environment in a way that moves the eye and provokes thought.

This open call is your chance to have your work seen by a global audience and contribute to a larger discussion about the interaction between humans and nature, whether you are a professional photographer, an emerging talent, or an amateur enthusiast. Documentary photography, fine art photography, and any other contemporary form of photography that explores the theme in a meaningful and impactful way are all eligible for submission.

The jury will shortlist a number of photographers for group exhibitions all over the picturesque alpine town of Kranj and will select ONE WINNER who will receive a cash prize of 1000 EUR and have a solo exhibition in Kranj, Slovenia, during the Kranj Foto Fest 2023 program, which will run from August 23 to September 23 of that year.

The old town of Kranj will once more be transformed into an exciting hub of contemporary photography for a whole month during the warmest part of European summer, bringing together new and seasoned photographers from all over the world. Photo exhibitions take place in the streets, at historic landmarks, in art centers, galleries, forests, and along the river, transforming the city into an open-air gallery.

Participate in this experience at the international festival of contemporary photography, Kranj Foto Fest, by submitting your work. You will have a fantastic opportunity to exhibit your work to a qualified audience of art critics, curators, photo editors, gallery owners, and publishers from Slovenia and around the world by participating in the festival.

We invite entries from photographic artists of all levels and foundations, and we anticipate seeing the different and innovative ways that the subject of HUMAN — NATURE will be investigated through photography.

There is no cost to submit to this Open Call.
