The program is designed to explore the Dübener Heide region, considering its history, landscape, and culture through artistic lenses, employing photography and film as mediums. The objective is to address the region's themes both locally and beyond. Two residency positions are available annually, with one exclusively designated for a female artist who is also a mother. Each residency spans four weeks and emphasizes the program's commitment to fostering interaction between children/young people and established artists, requiring participants to conduct a 2-day workshop for young people during their stay.
Selected artists receive funding covering accommodation, travel, and transportation costs, capped at €650, along with a one-time grant of €1000. For female artist-parents, the financial support includes travel expenses and temporary childcare, amounting to up to €600. This comprehensive funding structure aims to facilitate meaningful exploration and creative engagement with the Dübener Heide region while promoting artistic collaboration and community involvement.
